Kay Brothers and Charcuterie Masterclass for Tasting Australia 2019

Kay Brothers Winery is excited to announce their Tasting Australia event The Charcutier and The Winemaker – A Masterclass which will be held in their heritage-listed cask room on Saturday 6 April 2019.

This masterclass will offer people the opportunity to taste Kay Brothers’ premium wines that have been expertly paired with some of South Australia’s finest charcuterie from Parma Handcrafted Cured Meat, in the surrounds of their heritage-listed cask room at Kay Brothers Winery in the McLaren Vale.

The Winemaker, Kay Brothers, is the oldest winery in McLaren Vale still in founding family hands, and they have continued the tradition of specialising in premium red wine production. All wines produced at the winery are still pressed using the traditional 1928 basket press, a process that results in superior quality wines.

Kay Brothers’ General Manager, Steven Todd, said, “We look forward to showcasing this event as part of Tasting Australia in 2019. We encourage the wine and charcuterie lovers of Adelaide to buy a ticket to our masterclass or visit our cellar door during April for our premium wines and gourmet produce.”

The Charcutier, Parma Handcrafted Cured Meat, is located in the heart of the Adelaide foothills, the epicentre of food, wine and culture. Calabrian smallgoods artisan, Pasquale, and chef and passionate cured meat aficionado, Massimiliano from Verona, established the proudly South Australian company, which is founded on the philosophy of providing high-quality, locally-sourced, meats, produce and artisan salumi.

Parma Handcrafted spokesperson, Massi Corradini, said, “The high-quality Kay Brothers wines pair amazingly with our fresh charcuterie. We are proud to be partnering with Kay Brothers for this event and to show Adelaide how wine and charcuterie are a match made in heaven.”

“The joining of these two premium brands will give guests an unparalleled and unique experience in high-quality South Australian food and drink, perfect for the wine lover who values history, quality and local handcrafted meats,” Steven Todd concluded.
