Theproduction of these notecards featuring the botanical paintings of Sarah Kay is part of a long held wish of the Kay family to bring these exquisite works to a wider audience.
Sarah was the mother of the brothers Herbert and Frederick who established Kay Brothers vineyards and winery in 1890 and great grandmother of Colin Kay our current winemaker. As Sarah Catcheside, in 1849, aged twenty, she emigrated from Newcastle on Tyne to South Australia. Four years later she married William Kay who, also aged twenty, had travelled on the same ship.
