2007 KAY BROTHERS AMERY BASKET PRESSED SHIRAZ
Our Shiraz grapes were harvested in February 2007, traditionally processed with open fermentation and basket pressing and matured in a combination of American and Eastern European oak barrels for 18 months prior to bottling on the 20th January 2010. Colour: Vibrant ripe cherry hue.Nose: Rich, ripe berry fruits and liquorice with hints of vanilla and cinnamon.Palate: Fruit driven with raspberry, mulberry, blackberry, liquorice and smoked bacon up front with a touch of leather and a hint of truffles on the finish. Fine, soft tannins with a warm and inviting mouth-feel. This very approachable wine has immediate drinkability but will also reward with cellaring for at least 4-5 years.
