2005 AMERY MERLOT
Colour: Black cherry.
Nose: A bouquet of plum, rhubarb and quince with peppermint and floral notes.
Palate: A generous palate rich with primary fruit, dark cherries, ripe plums and mulberries. The combination of balanced acid and layered fruit tannins (a result of extended maceration) delivers tremendous mouth feel and bold flavours with the underlying oak showing notes of vanilla bean and raw coconut.
Bottled under Stelvin caps on the 30th July 2007. 15.5% Alc/vol.
