Basket Pressed Merlot

This traditional French variety has enjoyed a long and distinguished history at Kay Brothers. Often providing supple red and black berried fruits and a round mouth feel to blends with Cabernet, Merlot on it's own produces a medium bodied wine with a long, silky finish. A variety not done any favours by a particular Hollywood movie, Merlot continues to surprise many who have forgotten just how good this variety can be.  Best Vintages 1998, 2002, 2005, 2008.
