Basket Pressed Mataro

Mataro or Mourvedre was first made by Kay Brothers back in 1895. Though its popularity has ebbed and flowed over the years, Mataro is fast gaining an audience that like its sweet,  savoury earthy notes and generous, robust palate. Our small block planted at the base of the hill enjoys all the sun it can get, often being the last variety to be picked each year. With only a small amount made each year, the Mataro is sure to sell out.
