Basket Pressed Grenache

Grenache has long been held in high regard in McLaren Vale as a versatile  variety wonderfully suited to the Vales's coastal climate. Once planted for use in fortified wines, Grenache is now been given the respect it deserves as a soft, elegant wine that pairs beautifully  with food. Planted on the Eastern facing slope below the winery, our Grenache enjoys a sunny aspect, often tempered by a cooling afternoon sea breeze.  The result is an elegant, juicy Grenache with a bright sweet/savoury palate. Gentle tannins and a fleshy palate give Grenache a  soft and generous mouth feel. This old timer of the Vale is enjoying it's time back in the spot light.
